Get thinking about Goodsearch, I think I found them ages ago and posted about it on the "old forum". I recall trying to help the Wolf Sanctuary a bit. Sadly, the search engine itself just doesn't match google's though I find.

That could very well be; I know it made it's rounds in the emailsphere, but at that time I couldn't bear to abandon my beloved Google.  Well, ok, I could...for a whole two or three searches--long enough to declare that "Nope!  Doesn't hold a candle to Google!"  But Google has continued to morph and expand, and has, as far as I'm concerned, gotten too big for its britches with no signs of slowing down in the future.  Therefore, I have to put my money where my mouth is, or in this case, my actions where my beliefs lie and avoid using Google as much as humanly possible merely on principle...even if that means I have to make due with a slightly less efficient (be that real or imagined) search engine alternative.

Of course, you know me, I have a tendency to be 'hardcore' in some instances.    To remove any vestiges of temptation, I uninstalled the Google search engine plugin.  But for folks who don't want to be quite so radical, or who, perhaps like yourself, truly have what they believe to be a legitimate need to use Google, I would offer this suggestion:  how about only using Google for your more "critical" searches and use an alternative (preferably one that donates to a good cause) for the not-so-critical searches?  Half a loaf is better than no loaf, as they say.

If individuals live only seventy years, then a state, or a nation, or a civilization, which may last for a thousand years, is more important than an individual.  But if Christianity is true, then the individual is not only more important but incomparably more important, for he is everlasting and the life of a state or a civilization, compared with his, is only a moment.

to thine enemies and an adversary to thine adversaries."

Yup. You are a bit more fundamentalist then most, but that's good. And yeah, that suggestion on searches is kinda how I use it. When I have to find something, I use google or blackbox search or such, when I have time to tinker around and help the wolves in the process, all the happier to help in whatever little way I can.

Glad to hear it!  And from what I've read recently about the wolves in your neck of the woods, they could use all the help they can get.
